Roy Keane - Sky Sports Pundit / Walkers Leprechaun / Adidas Champion

Had he not played for a month before the first leg?

Ah it does.

The game was over at 2-0.

Made no sense to risk missing the World Cup to play in a dead rubber out in some hell hole in Iran.

Imagine not wanting to see the tie out? After all youd’d, imagine not wanting to made sure it was for over the line.

Gareth Bale was twice the man keane was.

Yes and it was agreed with both managers if it was done after the first leg he wouldn’t be risked in the second leg.

Why’d they risk him against Leicester so ?

He chose his employer over his country lots of times under the influence of Ferguson. Giggs did the same.

Keane didn’t fancy the World Cup and walked out. We need to be honest here.

Then the Red Devils threw Keane out. I’d say his anger at Walters is really shame and anger at his own actions.

It wasn’t a dead rubber id assume

He was the only reason ireland were at the World Cup. Then the failed English man decided to accuse him of faking injury to try and act tough in front of various other failed English men.

Amazing the actual Irish lads never had any issue with Roy Keane.

Keane was happy to accuse players of faking injuries when he was a failed manager.

If we’re being honest here, it was Keane who got us to the WC.

more revisionism, he gave Overmars a kick up the hole and all of sudden Keane single-handedly got Ireland to to the WC, that was one of the best Irish teams ever, with or without him.

He nearly scored one of the most comical own goals of all time. Being at the game as a 15 year old with a serious eye for ball I’d have said Duff by a wide margin was our best player that day. Staunton was excellent especially defending the lead - but the whole team put in a shift that day.

That’s dreadfully incorrect.

Just conveniently ignore the Portugal performance there lads in that campaign.

Yet Shay Given gave a masterclass away to Cyprus - many players performed over the course of the campaign

Robbie was incredible away to the Dutch.

Wr are discussing Keane not Given.

Duffer was the stand out at home to the Dutch by the way. Even played the last half hour up front on his own when Robbie was sacrificed for Kelly’s sending off.
