Itâs going to be Jacqui/Joanne with panels of Donal Og/Derek/Ursula in the hurling with Gooch/Colm Boyle/Whelan in the football - utterly banal and bland.
Youâd yearn for the halcyon panels of Loughnane, Brolly, Cyril, Dalo.
If McBennett was any good heâd cull the current panels and start afresh. People want an edge and honesty on a panel. Cian Ward and Paddy Andrews are two good football analysts. Devanny in Donegal is a loose cannon. Canavan should br brought in from SKY.
On the hurling side a straight shooter like Larkin could be entertaining and bring that spark to studio. Mullane could be brought to centre stage.
McBennett thinks his GAA audience is the same as his Smugby one.
