It’s an illness. There was a poker machine in a pub I used to frequent. One particular chap had absolutely no interest in winning. He’d get a Royal Flush and stay going knowing it couldn’t get any better, he’d just keep going until the credits would be gone, never collected. The most dangerous addiction of all.
Worse than crystal meth?
There’s only so much drink/drugs you can take at any one time. There’s no limit to the amount you can gamble.
