It’s one thing winning friendlies in Chicago or Melbourne, Ireland really need to be winning that World Cup next year. All these world class players, anything less than success in Japan is failure.

Jack Duckworth (RIP) could lead this team to a semi final. Let’s see how good Joe Smith really is. In the easiest group imaginable, they couldn’t have asked for a better run of fixtures. They’d want to be beating poor New Zealand and South African teams in the last 8.
