if you live in an urban area your unlikely to come across it alright
So long as the GAA have still their relentless propaganda machine behind them in this country they’ll be fine.
The numbers playing did plateau a couple of years ago. There is now enough playing to support constant competitiveness if they maintain the decent structure that works.
It will never touch playing numbers of GAA though and that’s really the bottom line.
People going to a pub to watch a game is not really a very solid basis for judging a popularity of a sport.
The more people playing sport the better. Rugby is really in competition with soccer, not GAA. GAA loses the odd reasonably high profile guy, but actually keeps the vast majority.

GGA was the 7th most popular sport in Ireland, football is 2nd mate,rugby was hovering around in 8th
the choice facing parents is:
play gga, earn nothing & be treated like a slave
play rogbee, get fuck all money, end up slow
play football, get millions upon millions and stay healthy
