Multiple offsides going unpunished.
Tbf, the Puma trying to block the drop goal effort with his feet as opposed his fucking hands is unforgivable. Would have got to it too.
France likely to meet who now in 1/4 finals?

Great result for Ireland, their regular world cup conquerors effectively eliminated in the opening weekend. It really does look like it’s going to be Irelands time.
Australia/Wales.
Winnable but they’re soft enough, fantastic attacking but defensively & mentally weak imo
Penaud was fantastic. They need to wrap him in cotton wool for the quarters.
2 games into the morning and 2 great games to watch. The main even is on its way now.
France won. France have eliminated Ireland in the quarter finals of the World Cup in 1995 & 2003 and effectively in 2007 as well by winning pool stage match.
Yes but we got revenge in 2015 in a do or die pool game to see who avoided the all blacks
Ireland beat Argentina in a 2003 pool match. which was an eliminator. Both Ireland and France had already advanced to quarter finals when they met in final pool match in 2015. It was an odd comment from @Halfpipe.
That turned out well for us
Defeat to Argentina in 1999, 2007 and 2015 have each confirmed Irelands exit from the World cup, no other country has had such a devastating effect on the nations efforts to reach the promised land of a world cup semi-final. Only once in the professional era has defeat to France resulted in Irelands elimination. There will be Irishmen, South Africans and New Zealanders jumping for joy with that result in a hotel somewhere near Tokyo.
Yes Ireland beat Argentina in the pool stage eliminator in the 2003 World Cup and were then soundly beaten by France in the quarter final.
The earliest Ireland could have faced Argentina in this World Cup is the semi final. That would have to involve Ireland beating South Africa or New Zealand in a quarter final and Argentina beating Wales or Australia in a quarter final.
Two shite national anthems here for the big dead rubber
This is going to be an epic.
The Haka is completely ridiculous. The crowd drowning it out with “Ole, ole, ole”
France softened us up big time in 2015 too.
You’ve now moved the goalposts from World Cup record to World Cup record in the professional era after I alerted you to Ireland’s poor record against France in the World Cup which you appeared to have been blissfully unaware of.
Ireland have beaten Argentina in a World Cup eliminator (in the progressional era too). Ireland have never beaten France in a World Cup eliminator.
Hon South Africa
The New Zealand lad got a shoulder while airborne there. Surely a free?
Ref said it was a fair contest
