Ireland would have qualification in their hands as they would know theyâd need to beat their remaining opponents by a certain score, hence in their hands
All the bonus points really fuck up these groups. Score difference does the same job

He was already useless. He wouldnât get a game with a team that doesnât just kick it every time
New Zealand kick more than Ireland. They score the most tries.
If it goes to scoring difference, itâs in your hands
You put up a cricket score on Russia and get the bonus point against Samoa
Scotland and Japan can both put up crickets scores. We canât influence their results. Itâs out of our hands.

Murray is world class. As are Sexton, Proper Church, Furlong, Ryan, OâMahony, Stander, Earls, Stockdale and co.
The fact we are having this debate is embarrassing. A group with Scotland, Japan, Samoa and Russia and weâre talking about needing a losing bonus point and score difference to get out.
From a team that was touted to go close.
