Thatâs the bonus point there for the Scots. Second penalty try
Itâs all up for grabs now
Real rugby men must miss the days of Karl Johnson , Edmund Van Esbeck & Sean .
Karl Johnston
A Limeric man
From memory, Karl was the reigning Irish Sports Journalist Of The Year when the Irish Press folded in May 1995
A preview of the opening game of the Rugby World Cup between South Africa and Australia at Newlands in that dayâs Evening Press was his final article
The Press Groupâs closure was announced around the time that game was taking place
Ah no, surely a piss take?
Christ, I hate Irish rubby and everything it stands for
I just got sick in my mouth
Jesus its legit
No one in work would want to get off for this anyway.
Anyone that takes time off for that should be fucked out of a job
Irish rugby is full of gimmicks. People are starting to see past the marketing bull shit now.
Is it on IPTV?
I was keeping an open mind on Samoa until I saw them this morning. Theyâre dreadful. A pale shadow of what weâve come to expect from Samoa at the World Cup. I would expect Ireland and Japan both to pick up bonus point wins against Samoa.
Ireland should get to 16 points which will guarantee advancement to the quarter final. Going into the final pool match, Japan v Scotland, I reckon Japan will be on 14 points and Scotland on 10. Japan will go in as favourites for that match but I wouldnât be discounting Scotland.
Outstanding analysis of Japan/Scotland, either team might win.
The scotch are specialists in failure. They will lose to the Japanese and Ireland will get hockeyed by New Zealand. They will get a wonderful homecoming and all the hype and importance will be diverted to Munster vs Newport Gwent Dragons and Leinster vs Zebre which will be sold as make or break seasons for both. New Liginds will be born while the real show will be on in Japan.
The loss to Japan has tempered the expectations of a nation (well a nation and a province). I fully expect General Schmidt to lead us to first place in the group when we pick up 10 points and the Scots beat the Japs.
