Imagine pulling a draw out of that game, the boost it would have given Ireland? I called Schmidt all along. A fucking loser.
You called it correctly in fairness to you mate
There would have been much less of a risk of Ireland shitting their pants against SA because of the turgid style of that game. Schmidt-ball was set-up to grind out boring wins against SA, even with over-rated, pants-shitting players.
So yes, they probably would have won.
Itâs like Ireland settling for a draw in the soccer against Georgia and then being beaten by the Swiss.
The experts disagree, unsurprisingly. The experts were vindicated during the World Cup.
A draw is exactly like a defeat?
Saracens got awfully lucky with all those centrally contracted players they have
It gives me no joy. None at all. I am merely A vessel through which the truth flowed.
Sarries have no centrally contracted players.
How so? Ireland were beaten at the 1/4 finals. The players didnât play to the best of their capabilities again.
Holy fuck! How are they doing it then? Do you reckon itâs drugs?
So darn unlucky how that always happens, dang it.
Will this Schmidt character ever coach a team again after this debacle? Youâd imagine not
Hard to know. Heâll never find a more gullible rugby supporter than the Irish one however youâd feel.
Players being contracted by the IRFU is an advantage during the 5 Nations but not for the World Cup. Itâs not that they didnât play to their potential in the World Cup, itâs that when itâs a level playing field they are not very good. Irish rugby fans place a lot of importance on meaningless friendly matches. Irish rugby is a laughing stock again.
Iâm not sure itâs that much of advantage being honest. The World Cup isnât a level playing field either. England and France had one less game. Japan would have had x3 times the prep time. It comes after the end of the northern hemisphere season which gives the likes of New Zealand, South Africa and Australia a huge advantage. They usually train to peak July/August.
New Zealand had 3 weeks off before the England match. Your argument doesnât hold up. England beat both Australia and New Zealand. Wales beat Australia and ran South Africa pretty close despite all their injuries. France should have beaten Wales.
Iâm talking about Ireland. Ireland played 3 six nations teams in the World Cup under schidmt and won all three conceding just one try. They beat France and Scotland much easier at the world cup than they tend to do in the six nations. If the World Cup is a more level playing field how come these sides arent beating Ireland?
Irish players were balling their eyes out after winning a group game in the last WC before they got trounced in the knockout game.
France would have hammered Ireland in this World Cup if they had met.
