Thinking of Irelands most well known 7’s players. They always tend to be a level or two below the top international. Your Billy Dardis or Jordan Conroy types. Adam Byrne probably the player with the highest ceiling in recent years, although Tom Daly made a decent go of it at Connaught when he finally left Leinster. Then you have a Greg O’ Shea type celebrity player. You wouldn’t see the likes of Garry Ringrose playing 7’s in the prime of his career. I’d love to see how props like Tadhg Furlong would fare in such a code.
