Hard to believe this is basically the same team the Bordeaux walloped. Swap Cullen for farrell and Leinster win at least three champions cup comps. Swap cullen for a dog with a mallet up its arse and they win at least one.

Luka Modric very disappointed here in his interview. Two defeats on the world stage in 36 hours must be hard to take.

Bordeaux would beat Australia by about 70 points

Sam P fairly steadied the ship in the second half.

We’ll learn more v New Zealand I guess.

Australia were much the better team for most of that match.

Well done Ireland. They answered the call there. :muscle:

Sure you were telling us Oz rugby was on the up and up

Oz shat the pants as usual. They think they re better than they are. Couldnt believe the Aussie kicker took on that kick at the end. Should have played the percentages and kicked to touch

Well done to Ireland came from double scores down to win and beat the perennial losers

Thought they looked very tired in the first half but had too much for Oz in the second

Didn’t think so - it was a fairly even contest. Ireland basically scored the same try four times and Australia hadn’t a clue how to defend it without infringing.

James Ryan had some mare. Nearly cost us the match on multiple occasions. An enjoyable game though. It’s been a good 2026 for rugby in general after all the criticism of it turning into a kicking orientated game last year.

The usual.

Good to see that you still get a bonus point for scoring 4 tries even in defeat in this new championship. It seems nonsensical that it’s being removed from the Champions Cup. Literally discouraging teams who are trailing from attacking to the very end.

The Cork chaps in McGrath’s Drumcondra went ape when that Cadbury Wallaby put that kick wide.

Shur their all ex-Munster bandwagoners when Munster were going well. Now that Munster are shit, they have jumped ship. They’ll do the same to the Cork hurlers in time.

He was brought on a holiday by the looks of it

Cc @glasagusban

Schmidt or Farrell.

Good for him. But he’ll probably get an auld run at some stage.

I hope he will otherwise some waste of money bringing him. Looks like he is behind lowe, Tommy o b, Jimmy o b, balacoune and even Osborne for the wing slots … they would probably throw ringrose out there ahead of him too if it was a big game

Sure I’ve been telling them to throw ringrose out on the wing for years.

Mattie just gets it

Usual rugby jock shite.
