it’s being explored mate… the UN is trying to intervene, in any way it can. Are you arguing for the Russian Federations right to a permanent veto on the security council? Are you in that much of a frenzy to prove you aren’t wrong?
That’s how the Ukrainians see it and how I would too, though the west are still not gallant enough at this point.

You didn’t give a fiddlers fuck about ethnic Russians until they formed part of your argument.
Nobody ever asked them, apart from in 1991 when they overwhelmingly voted to be part of an independent Ukraine.
The Russians certainly never asked them.
Also what you class as “ethnic Russians” are in fact Ukrainian Russian speakers - over half of Ukraine are Russian speakers as their first language. That doesn’t make them Russian. It’s interesting to note you class the English speakers of Ireland as “ethnic English”.
Anyway. Ukraine and the west are on the side of good here, Russia are on the side of evil.
It really is as simple as goodies and baddies.

NATO have had wild disputes, in fact they are always in dispute. Let’s forget about Iraq, let’s roll forward to some Germany with nuclear energy and Russian gas.
NATO (like the EU), can barely agree.
As we live in Western democracies.
But we still have a few principles than generally we all regard that keeps us talking.
But we are still better, far better than Russia and China. That’s reality and that’s why people flock to live here or be part of it.
But yeah, “big Western conspiracy” at the same time they can barely agree on nuclear energy. Cop yourself on.
