Russia Vs Ukraine (Part 1)

That’s the real question.

Lets say the Russians fail to take Kyiv can you see Putin retreating back across the border and the laughing stock of the world? He is 100% the type to launch whatever he has in spite, fallout be damned.

I’d say there’s a chance alright.

This is a really interesting thread,

It’s this strong likelihood that makes it a far greater possibility one of his own will take him out before there aren’t buyers to purchase the Oligarchs oil and gas.

Russia need their own Von Stauffenberg here, the man is a maniac and will destroy his own country with this path he has them down.

Is it time that Social media platforms banned all political business & advertising?

Russia needs someone who fails to assassinate an out of control leader?

You can be sure several high ranking Generals are contemplating something behind closed doors…

The Russians aren’t to be trusted. On a leaving cert holiday to Crete we were warned by the owner of our hotel to not be bringing back Russian girls as they’ll rob us blind when we fall asleep.

It was just getting bright when @TreatyStones neighbour arrived back to hotel room with a bird.

7 of us asked her at one time where she was from and before she finished saying Russia all hell broke loose as we grabbed our stuff.

She was completely bemused in fairness.

Utter planks like you were literally Putin’s wet dream in the west.

Every issue the likes of you deride as “woke” is a serious issue. You just don’t want to know about anything that doesn’t negatively affect you.

Complaining about Russian influence while you have defined yourself by being viciously opposed to any and every change that would promote a more equitable and respectful society - because you were down a rabbit hole and up to your nostrils in Putinist, Trumpist “anti-woke” excrement - and totally unaware of it - is fucking hilarious.

Nice bit of homophobia in that post by the way. Putin loves that.

I was having a few thoughts on the war today, so far the Russian military are really struggling against the people of Ukraine. Did they expect to walk in unopposed? A lot of their hardware seems dated, are they using old stuff due to my first point or is that all they have? Are they technologically more advanced than using dated equipment like the US has?

Maybe someone has a better knowledge on the Russians hardware here but is it mainly soviet era? If so how many of their nukes are actually operational and is the number claimed accurate? If putin goes that route etc. We’re fucked regardless but how much is he bluffing

Where are you seeing that? RTÉ , cnn the Irish times? Victor Orban is nothing like Putin ffs, watch an interview with him or read a book.

Not good if they’re pulling out this weaponry…
unconfirmed etc

Carole Cadwalladr is a fucking brilliant journalist and every word she says there is correct. She has been saying this stuff for years and all she got from the people who are now scrambling to jump out of the Russian water they suddenly find themselves boiled in was to get ridiculed as “the crazy cat lady”.

You see the victims of Russia’s disinformation war here every day now for years, relentless in their preaching of its propaganda. The US right-wing disinformation war is the same war, it’s the same Axis, and I use the term “Axis” for a reason.

Yep.

As I said above, Social media based platforms need to address their business models now.

If Politicians & Politics want to sell their wares online then let them do it on sites where their plays can be properly construed.

Would they count as cluster bombs or chemical weapons? From looking them up the last 24 hours I would say they should be banned under the geneva convention.

Saying that the Russians seem to have no regard for it or any international law

This kind of person right here is who the Russian trolls target. Wastes of space who feel shrieking endlessly online and retweeting allows them to virtue signal personal usefulness that doesn’t exist in reality. Problem is western politicians read twitter too much.

God bless the ignore function.
