Is there any sanctions on Venezuela at the moment? Might be time to bring them back into the fold
We’ve a spare en suite room and myself and my wife have volunteered it for a mother and daughter situation for 12 months. Haven’t really figured out the logistics considering we’ve a 2 and 4 year old but will make it work if it comes to it.

The Americans have recognised Maduro as the leader of Venezuela and are looking to do a deal with him.
It’ll open up a good bit of supply and they are broke. Better a lunatic dictator than a lunatic dictator invading another country with nuclear weapons

Fair play to you. Was chatting to the mrs last night when it came up on the news and I said there’d be no shortage of Irish people volunteering to take people in. Meanwhile across the water they wanted out of the EU to prevent refugees getting in. We give out about it a lot but Ireland is a great old spot.

Ukraine’s ministry of foreign affairs has reported that 12,000 Russian personnel have been killed in its latest assessment of their losses to date.
They said that so far Russian forces have also lost 48 aircraft, 80 helicopters, 303 tanks, 1,036 armed vehicles, 120 artillery pieces and 27 anti-aircraft warfare systems.
Obviously, one needs to take Ukraines numbers with a pinch of salt as well, but fair to say the Russians are taking a kicking
