Russia Vs Ukraine (Part 2) - Neocons Strike Back

Itā€™s a frivolous headline but the point of it is Ireland saying they will implement the international criminal court arrest warrant. Other countries have failed to do so in the past, south Africa with Omar Al Bashir being the most high profile example I think. Most countries are signed up to the ICC so itā€™s another point of pressure in the long term if Putin canā€™t travel anywhere because heā€™ll be arrested.

You have been waffling on about Peace Deals to stop the conflict?

His J1 days are nearly over anyway

Ive said peace should be sought. Ive left the waffling to you.

Thereā€™ll be no peace without all men as one

We must be near a million dead at this stage of this conflict?

As you well know, the first casualty of war is truth my friend.

Heā€™d have a sneaky pint in Shannon and then off again.

Would the Joeys have jurisdiction I wonder?

Donā€™t i knowā€¦ A lot of lads here dont want to know about it. I was reading over the Moscow Times and the St. Petersburg Chronicle this morning and they are far more balanced than most western media outlets.

Yes, itā€™s very important to have balance in journalism. Say with Bloody Sunday, the job of a real journalist is to be exactly in the middle between what the British Army said and what the families of the victims said, totally impartial, neutral and value-free, and to tell us that neither were telling the truth - that the British Army were lying, but the families of the victims were all lying too - and that the truth lay exactly in the middle, which is that the British Army probably shouldnā€™t have shot the victims but that the victims were definitely asking for it.

Thatā€™s proper journalism.

At least according to the likes of @glenshane, @Thomas_Brady, @EstebanSexface and @gaillimhmick.

Not me.

I think youā€™re taking Thomas a bit too literally.

Heā€™s a genuine headbanger and has been for a long time.

Heā€™s a headbanger but I donā€™t think heā€™s genuine. The second lad is a genuine conspiracy theorist disaffected weirdo, the third is following the second down the rabbit hole and the last is just kind of small minded and soft headed lad with just enough racist tendencies to be fully receptive to national party type nonsense.

Nobody puts that much effort into consistently posting obvious nonsense over a multi-year period if they donā€™t actually believe it.

Unless theyā€™re being paid to do so.

Youā€™re right. You canā€™t ignore the money in all thisā€¦ The weapons manufacturing business is absolutely boomingā€¦ Ex top EU officials now work for Airbus, one of the worldā€™s leading arms makers :person_shrugging:t2:ā€¦ The EU is now producing ammunition for war.

We know the US directly have pumped billions into arms for Ukraine but through the IMF theyā€™re also indebting Ukraine for generations and will have a huge say in the distribution of state owned assets post conflictā€¦ If Ukraine win of course.

An astute point :+1:

100%.

NATO likewise.

EU agreement to produce a million shells for Ukraine this week. Putin will be packing lads of with slings and stones before the year is out.

The EU is promoting war. Thatā€™s the long and short of itā€¦ Ex top EU officals lobbying the EU for arms contracts is all kinds of fucked up.

When will they have the shells delivered? The Ukrainian army are on a daily limit currently to ensure the fight lasts until the summer at leastā€¦ They could do with a breakthrough in the next few weeks or youā€™d fear the Russians will have bled them too much for the planned counter offensive to have a real effect. Thereā€™s a second city being surrounded by Russians now with the same level of damage being inflictedā€¦ Awful viewing to see the couple of thousand citizens who refuse to leave, all old folk.
