Ryder Cup 2014 - Gleneagles, Scotland

Reed and Westwood are fat and will struggle late on in their respective games having both played this morning.

Kaymer misses another gilt edged chance on 14 to pull Europe level, that’s got to be hugely demoralising.

A European tour player is one of the referees

Westwood rolls in a 5 footer on 16 to give Europe the hole, we are 2 up with 2 to play now

Donaldson sees it out with a wonderful chip at 17 to give Europe a 2&1 victory.

Reed misses a difficult putt on 15 as Europe tie it up. Mahan drives way out to the right on 14 and it looks like they will go 2 down in that match. This is turning into a total nightmare for America.

And McIlroy sinks it to put Europe 2 up with 4 to play.

G Mac and Dubuisson win the 13th, they are 5 up with 5 to play, Watson is presiding over a shambles here.

The hurling’s on, pal.

Reed misses a tap in on 16 to win the hole, what a howler. They’re all square with two to play. That could be the turning point of the whole tournament.

Gmac and Dubuisson win 5&4, Garcia and McIlroy 3 up with 2 to play. A wayward tee shot on 17 by Rose has handed the Yanks a lifeline and Reed and Spieth are 1 up on the 18th tee.

I know fuck all about golf, but that doesn’t seem possible.

Ha ha, sorry, I meant 2 up with 3 to play. The drama is getting to me

McIlroy Garcia win 3&2

Rose holds his nerve on 18 to sink a crucial putt and give Europe a tie in the match. 10-6 to Paul McGinley’s men after a calamitous evening for Tom Watson.

Game still there for both sides. O’Shea and Cody will both be raging at their respective side’s performance you feel.

Westwood wins both his foursomes, some amount of spoofing from Bandage in this thread

FYI @Sandymount Red, please see above. I disputed the selection of Gallacher, not Westwood. I’ve been thoroughly vindicated.

The singles have been announced, the McIlroy V Fowler game should be a cracker…
