I’m extremely uneasy with the way Captain Clarke dealt with the Peter Willett article and the way he embarrassed his United States Masters champion.

He should have owned the article proudly on behalf of Team Europe as a gesture of defiance.

I’m now worried that all this Churchillian bluster is merely that - bluster, and that we will meekly surrender.

The Ryder Cup is war. There are no rules, there is no playing fair. We can’t adopt a war footing and then say “oh, sorry if you were offended by that”. No weakness must ever, ever be displayed.

Captain Clarke needs to learn, and fast. We need to come out fighting tomorrow, smash these cunts over their heads and kill them.

We’re going to absolutely trounce thEse Europeans. Its terrific to see such a strong representation from the Confederate States. That’s usually a pointer towards a strong Team USA.

Europe have won four of the last five Ryder Cups in the USA which were held in non-confederate states whereas three of the last four home Ryder Cup victories for the Yanks have come in the confederacy.

1999 is the outlier.

This one is in the distinctly non-confederate Minnesota.

I sincerely hope that in the home city of the late, great Prince, the USA will not be partying like it’s 1999 on Sunday.

They’re a strange lot in Minnesota. Haven’t voted GOP since Nixon in 1972. That’s the longest drought of any of the 50 states for the GOP.
