Ryder Cup 2026

Yes. The golf club wouldn’t sell the name to JP

Many roaster has pulled into the wrong one and feared they’ve been hoodwinked. Well i did.

I played an outing in Adare a few years back and some colleagues from Dublin were waiting, unimpressed, at the first tee box at the wrong course

One look at the car park was enough to hint there was something up. Going as far as the first tee is ridiculous.

Yes they are beside each other. Adare golf club is a decent course. Nothing special.

Adare Manor Golf club

It’s known as adare. People refer to the other as the manor in limerick

Folk ten mins out the road in Croagh, Ballingarry etc will be laughing.

Houses that week going for 3k/4K I’d imagine. Probably a bit more if you’re willing to pick Brad & Becky from Ohio up at Shannon and ferry them around for a few days.

Hopefully there will be a round of fixtures in the Junior A Hurling Championship on that weekend.

Where can I buy a cap to doff at them?

Another one? Sure just use the one you doff to JP

JP wouldn’t like that.

Nobody over 65 wants to hear about a golf competition in 7 years time. Jp be lucky if he gets to see it not been funny. Hopefully he does, deserves that much for what his done for Limerick.

All in good spirits here after the announcement - this will be biblical

Hes definitely a better option than the last busker in Adare

Arent the locals against the bypass

The CEO of Failte Ireland reckons this will be worth 160m to the Irish economy. The State will have to invest heavily to make this happen and the owner of Adare Manor will have to maintain the golf course in the meantime.

Air BnB will be a game-changer for this compared to the 2007 Ryder Cup in Kildare. It wasn’t there back then. Much better opportunity for locals to get access to incoming visitors and make a decent bit of cash

The sulky rides up and down Adare Main Street will be a goldmine
