I’m contemplating purchasing a scarf. I would be of the opinion that lads can only get away with scarves at football matches or when wearing a suit style overcoat.
So the question is are ye pro or against scarves on men.

Absolutely no problem with them but they must be used with a coat. Used in any other circumstances such as with a jumper is wrong.

I think there was a lengthy debate on this in the “Things That Are Wrong Thread” a while back. I don’t believe there was a definitive answer but the general belief was that the levels of gayness associated with wearing a scarf varied greatly given the type of scarf and the situation it was worn in.
I always wear a black scarf. Prevents the sore throat and suchlike. Any sort of coloured scarf is a no no though imo. Unless it’s a football scarf worn to a match of course.
Now that I’m an adult I decided to buy one of them suit style overcoats. I think it’d look well with a scarf but I’m also worried about catching the gay.
Julio with your permission I might alter the last poll option to “No, scarves are gay” to make it clear that the option doesn’t mean that not a single scarf is gay.
It’s too late with a comment like that.
wouldnt be much of a scarf man. have a couple of football reltaed ones, and one black one that may occasionally be worn on the way to work.
colourdy ones or stripey ones are a no no.
the way one wears them is the other thing.

Permission granted. I’d also ask that you travel around the country correcting the punctuation on the Free Nicky Kelly graffiti remaining from the 80’s so that people know that Nicky Kellys are not being given away in that location.
I have one similar to middle picture, but with darker colours.
I find it goes well under my overcoat at race meetings.
:rolleyes::D:clap::guns::mad:

Agreed, stripey ones are for wankers. It should be one colour only (prefereably black) and worn beneath your jacket. A scarf isn’t a fashion item, it’s for keeping you warm.

I wear a stripey one much like the middle one above. You calling me a wanker?
If you pose like your man in the picture then yes
Gman knows the score relating to how to wear scarves.
The purple one? Farmer I’m extremely disappointed in you. As for being a wanker I need more details before dissing a legend such as yourself. Do you wear it under or outside your overcoat?

I voted for scarves are gay,the wife bought me one a while ago(twas Tommy Hilfiger, navy with a few red bits in it) and i wore it a few times but could never make friends with the thing, couldnt get it comfortable on me and was always worried that i looked gay wearing it,no matter how i tied it the thing looked out of place.
Woody you soft cunt wearing scarves wont save you from sore throats and suchlike, best thing you could do on a cold day is put on a jacket and go breath it in,kill the germs and all that.
Muldoon drink driving farmer in scarf hate shocker.
I can’t believe this is even up for debate.
Scarves are of course gay, in all circumstances bar none.*
*I’d rather die of pneumonia than put a scarf around my neck.
Gay, your neck doesn’t need it, its poncy as fuck and you may as well have 20.20 eyesight and be wearing designer glasses.
