You enjoyed the cave men football under Crapatoni and O’Neill? You must be a premier league fan who dips in and out of Ireland games.

He’s emabarrassed by it

Nice football is the perogative now. Fuck big results

Germany, kicked the ball away for 90 minutes, got a lucky break. Beat Italy’s second team.

Kicked the ball away into shane long’s path mate

Shamrock Rovers the pride of Ireland. Disgraced in Hungary and Belgium.

Beat a Bosnia team with prime Dzeko and Pjanic over the legs too. A famous win in Cardiff against then Euro semi-finalists Wales when we needed it. Won in Austria too. Some extremely memorable nights. The Stables in UL was heaving the night we beat Germany in 2015. I remember a huge roar went up when news filtered through that Poland had equalised against Scotland. Everyone too drink and delirious at our lead to realise we needed a Polish defeat instead😅

If we’re going the League of Ireland route again then I’d love to see Roddy Collins in the job. His interviews would be a huge upgrade on Stephen Kenny’s. Proper state of the nations type address.

Are we still calling Kenny “Bossman Steo” or has he been downgraded to “Spock” again?

All of that will pale into insignificance on Tuesday night if we can avoid defeat and retain our League B status in the Nations League.

Roddy is out for dinner on a Wednesday and Saturday so not sure he could fit it in.

He’d make our defence resolute

Apart from the first line, I’d largely agree. This team are far better to watch. They played well tonight. The pitch was horrific. I’m not sure whether that suited us or them.
There’s clearly a good team spirit. That’s half the battle.

How in the name of good God could anyone even attempt to put a positive spin on this ???

Vlad apparently is on record as saying we are well behind two teams that aren’t even proper countries.

Egan looks out of his depth at Championship level. He may score the odd belter but fails at his primary job. Look, you can’t coach a more technical style of play to players who are simply lacking in technical ability. That’s not their fault but the coach needs to adapt and implement a style of play to get the best out of the resources at his disposal. That’s what good management is about. Charlton, McCarthy, Trap and O’Neill were all intelligent enough to do this and all were good managers for Ireland and good value for money for the FAI. I fear we may never qualify for a major tournament again.

They didn’t even dominate the first half ffs. They were alright and got the goal from a set-piece but Tony is really over egging it there. It was 50/50 at best.

WTF

We have gone from going step for step with two fine sides in Denmark and Switzerland in Euro 2020 qualifying to losing to Luxembourg at home, being out of the qualifying contention before the half way stage in WC 2022 qualifying and now into what is a relegation play off with Armenia on Tuesday.

He had to go

Step for step with Switzerland? Destroyed over there. Mick played Doherty as a 3rd centre half. Beat Gibraltar a combined 3-0 over 2 games. Drew 0-0 with Georgia in a must win game. Conveniently left out all that.
