BIG GOAL in the title race from big Miguel Freckleton.
That’s a second goal for the former Mangotsfield United defender against Heart Of Midlothian at Love Street this season, having also scored in the 2-2 draw at the end of October.

Hearts have been beaten. Big night tomorrow for the chasing pack.
That’s 3 already.
When Schwolow parried the duffed McMenamin effort behind for a corner, even though it was going two yards wide, I said out loud…
…There’s a fair few goals scored from needlessly conceded corners.
And so it was. There was nobody else in my living room at the time so this can’t be verified.
If Celtic are within three points of Heart Of Midlothian come the split, Heart Of Midlothian will shite their togs in the final five games.
The key for Celtic is to stay ahead of Rangers.
Over to you Celtic
Celtic have been fairly crap away from home in the league, even under O’Neill. The midfield has really struggled to exert any control, especially against combative sides/mullockers. I really wanted a midfield addition mid-season to address that weakness but it didn’t happen. That said, I think Amadu will be very useful as an out ball in away games, albeit he’ll probably be on the bench tomorrow. He seems to be a fast, physical, hard running, type who’ll work the channels, bother defenders & help Celtic to get up the park if they’re under pressure. That profile can be useful in Scotland. But it would be nice to see McGregor & Engels take control of a game like tomorrow.
That’s 3 red cards before half time for Heart of Midlothian in 3 of their last 5 league games. They win the previous 2 at Dundee and home to St Mirren. Such poor discipline not sustainable though and they ran out of luck on that front tonight.
Heart may not be staunch enough for the Sevco supporting Scottish Referees
Its off
Hearts (as I’ve said all along in fairness) aren’t the concern. It’s the huns. Always the Huns.
Dermo and the board somehow found pleasure in beating the pipefitters whilst the opposition were on remand. They’re back, and more average than ever, but the board, having delighted in mediocrity are now wallowing in mediocrity.
The refereeing body are doing their bit for sevco.
Motherwell could be a bolter for the title if they were to beat Glasgow Rangers in their next game. Their trip to Tannadice tonight has also fallen foul of the bad weather on the East coast of Scotland.
Dundee, especially the Tay bridge, is not a place you want to be in a storm.
That’s ruined my evening. I’d cleared the decks completely for it. Dons are currently managerless & off the backing of a hiding at lowly Killie last weekend so it seemed a good time to play them. But they made a couple of late window interesting signings from the Bundesliga via this newish German sporting director & will probably be a stiffer test when it’s rearranged. That said, maybe a sodden/heavy bog surface tonight would have been the veritable leveller. It also allows Celtic’s batch of new signings to get some training in with home cup & league games next up.
I don’t like falling behind in the scheduled fixture. You want points on the board to keep the pressure at its highest. This was never demonstrated better than on the run in in 2008.
I think there’s a possible free midweek slot on March 4th so presumably the rearranged fixture will be then but otherwise Celtic aren’t going to have a free slot between now and the end of the season with eight midweeks between now and early May being taken up by the UEFA Cup and there’s an international break to come too.
Three points tonight would have properly mounted the pressure on Rangers and Heart Of Midlothian.
Glasgow Rangers off to a flyer as Captain Marvel James Tavernier converts a penalty inside the first five minutes and Kilmarnock are down to ten men.
Kilmarnock with a player sent off away to Rangers in the first 4 mins.
Ibrox Park must be one of the very few grounds on earth where the pitch now looks less impressive and carpet like than it did in 1993.
Possibly Villa Park is another one.
