set one up you nonce, rather than piggyback on this oneā€¦

Not that bothered about setting one up. Lot of people on here going to Rovers matches need to know the quality of chippers in the Tallaght area.

:pint::clap::pint:

Fuck them Shan, fuck them!!

Get out of here to fuck.

Finally the Dunph has returned to the Tfk.

Jaysis I was tempted into Chicken Hut on Clanbrassil Street in Dublin a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely vile. The farts out of me the next day were otherworldly.

Chicken Hut is a dump, in Dublin, Limerick, anywhere for that matter.

As a rule of thumb youā€™re looking for a chipper with an Italian sounding name ie: Luigiā€™s, Fuscoā€™s, Fredaā€™sā€¦

The best chipper in Dublin is Leo Burdocks. Donkey Fordā€™s isnā€™t very wop sounding either.

Thats a bold statement to makeā€¦

Itā€™s beyond argument. Burdockā€™s chips re-heated even are better than the competition.

Which Burdocks are we talking about?

Christchurch one.

That one would be decent enough. The staff in the Phibs one were utter clowns the last time I was in there. The Rathmines one wasnā€™t great back in the day either if memory serves me correctly. Just because a chipper has a name like Burdocks doesnā€™t mean its top notch all the time or in every one you walk into.

Youā€™ll go a long way to beating Pinheads Pizza for grub.

Borza on the Cromwellsfort Road is the best.

Yeah, the Phibsborough one is shite.

Thrawneen is on the ball there, the ā€œone and oneā€ out of Leo Burdocks Christchurch beats every other chipper in Dublin.

Borza on the Cromwellsfort Road beats it.

A review of Luigis Chipper, Parnell St Limerick

Food quality- Got 2 portions of chips and a portion of battered sausages. The sausages were good but to be honest I was far from impressed with the chips. They were quiet dry and were just out of the frier so were scalding hot and not what I expected from a chipper of Luigis reputation. Overall 2.5

Value for money- ā‚¬ 7 for 2 chips, 2 battered sausages and a can of coke. No complaints thereā€¦3.5

Staff apprasial- Only ok, didnā€™t do anything wrong but at the same time didnā€™t go that extra mile. Sometimes I wonder if these staff take their postion as chipper attendants for granted. I was also disappointed with the amount and the manner in which the salt nā€™vinegar was dispensed. 3

Service- A bit slow for my liking considering it was a very basic order. 2.5

Facilities- Clean and tidy. No complaints in this department. 4

Overall a very medicore 3 out of 5.

For such a vital element to gastronomic excellence Iā€™m always taken aback by how blas the servers tend to treat this. They put on salt and vinegar as casually and unthinking as a man on the street scratching his arse. Not good enough.
