Seeking members for the Limerick Chippers Social Group
Over a month and no post on this thread?

Dunph really has been resting on his laurels. This thread should be bang up to date at this time of year so that immigrants returning home from England for the holidays will beware of the latest happenings on the Limerick chipper scene.

Also I look forward to reading The Dunphs annual report.
I thought about this thread yesterday actually while salivating over the possibility of a bag of chips. I had no good reason to bump it however so i let it be.

The annual report will be out before the 31st.

I think you’ll find the president and chairman positions are taken.

We have a special job for you, Executive Director of Oil Testing

Your job will entail dippping your hands in the cooking oil to ensure it is the optimal temperature to cook the perfect chip.

He can then set up the Limerick Hospital Burns Units Group.

tip of the hat to you Sir and I believe myself and yourself are doing a fine job in these positions

This place has gone to shit under your leadership. No reviews, nothing

On the way home from a swim yesterday I decided to stop into the newly opened Bia Bombay Kebab House and take away in Castleconnell

Order: Doner Kebab, Cheese Chip and a Bottle of Pop

Food quality: 4

Very good, the kebab was as good as I have had, plenty of fresh lettuce and red onion in it and it was fine and spicey without being too hot, the portion of chips I got was huge and I was only able to eat about 2/3 of each

Value for money: 3

11.50 for kebeb and cheesey chips is saucy enough, although in saying that I was as full as an egg from 4 p. til this morning…

Staff appraisal: 3.5

An indian lad behind the counter who was all manners, seemed like he would be an alright sort to have a pint with, wnet about his business diligent manner

Efficiency of Service: 2.5

Was about 15 minutes waiting for it, which is a bit on the long side, the table I sat at was a bit wobbly and there was no bin to throw my rubbish in and the top of the kepchup bottle seemed a bit defective, but the place is only open 6 weeks and will come on in time

I would be very much of the opinion that if I ordered a kebab or burger in a chipper I would rather wait 5 or 6 minutes for it rather than get it straight away*…

*unless it is 3 in the morning and you are after a feed of drink ans warped with the hunger
