AGM Results
I am pleased to announce that the AGM has finished. Sorry for the delay in getting back but we sat down for some lovely tea and sandwiches afterwards. It was a well attended and lively affair but after much debating we got there in the end. The following positions have been filled for the coming year:
Chairman - The Dunph
Vice Chairman - The Runt
Secretary - treaty_exile
Assistant Secretary - Atticus Finch
Treasurer - The Puke
Assistant Treasurer - Watchyourtoes
PRO - ChocolateMice
Development Officer - Rintintin

I was in Limerick today and got a bit peckish. Decided to seek out the Limerick Chipper of the Year '09 to see what all the Hoo Ha was about. I must commend the Limerick Chippers Social Group on opening my eyes to such a marvelous Establishment:clap:

I am very pleased to take my position as Assistant Treasurer in this award winning group!
I couldnt make the AGM last night as the driving conditions were terrible, Dunph has sent me on the minutes of the meeting. In delighted to take up the position of development officer and shall be reporting back within the next few weeks with some future plans for the group.
I have lined out my own duties in this plan.
Duties of The Development Officer
Priority areas:
(a) Club Development & Administration - To improve the general organisation and
efficiency of the Club unit. The Club Development Officer will make proposals for development in club structures to suit present needs.
(b) Community - The Development Officer will avail of opportunities for assistance by units of the Limerick Chippers Group in appropriate community activities especially those aimed at improving the quality of chips for persons who are disadvantaged by virtue of Location, social or economic circumstances.
Š Resource Centre - The Development Officer will be known within the club to be the person who can provide âdevelopmentâ information, reference material, guidelines (which can be sourced at Central Office).

Review of Donkey Fordâs
Food quality 4 - 1/4 Pounder and Chips.smashing feed. was absolutely starving by the time i got in there. they didnt spare the vinegar when i asked them to horse it on.others chippers barey splash it on. the feed kept me going for a few hours while i looked around the limerick shops and had to negotiate my way out to meanus.
Value for money 4 - 1/4 pounder,chip and a bottle of water⌠in and around 7.50ish euro i think. cant remember rightly as i dove into the feed as soon as it was handed out. i know i got change from a tenner anyway!
Staff appraisal - 3 - Friendly but i didnt engage in conversation as my phone rang and was outside for a good 10mins on it.
Efficiency of service 5- Very quick i must say. Was done by the time i came back in after being on the phone. as mentioned they fairly threw on the vinegar which gets them up to 5 for me
Facilities overview- 4- Simple layout in fords. Nothing fancy. but there in lies why it is such a good chipper. it prides itself on its food rather than looks. And that is why i will be sampling the menu again
Declan - I am not sure you were actually in Donkey Fords.
Food never takes longer than a couple of minutes and Iâm pretty sure they donât do quarter pounders.
Runt- you could well be right. im back in limerick during the week and ill double check it. could have sworn though.
