I would like to announce, under the supervision of Dunph and the Limerick Chipper Social Group executive, the opening of a Cork chapter of this fine instutition. Hopefully Kev, Fenway, Braz and Mickee will support me in this noble fledgling enteprise.

Keohanes, Midleton

Food quality: 4.5

As good as ever, I ordered chips and fish, fresh fish that was generally excellent albiet a little small. People say the chips have gone downhill but can’t really agree, still have an original taste and are freshly cut. Portiuons could be bigger though.

Value for money: 5

Piss cheap, was set back 5-6 euro.

Staff appraisal: 5

One at the counter, knew what he was doing, bit grumpy but food and everything else was served quickly and efficently. Bit of banter about local GAA helped. In and out in a few minutes.

Efficiency of service: 5

See above - top class, exactly what you want from a old school trad chipper.

Facilites overview: NA

There wasn’t fucking any, its a proper fucking chipper for fucks sake.

Overall: 4.5

Slightly bigger portions is the only compliant. Opening hours are a bit short as well. Still the nicest chipper in county Cork.
