The chips had to cook so I had to wait a few minutes which in fairness was not the staff’s fault. We in Limerick do prefer our food cooked fresh unlike the reheated stuff you get in Cork or Dublin so I didn’t mind the wait. Once the chips were cooked there was no fussing about and I was on my merry way.

Facilites overview: 4
Two high stools positioned at a high counter near the window with a copy of the Limerick Post for customers perusal. Not much else going on.

Overall: 4

Fredas continues to produce quality food although the chips on this occasion were not crispy they were still demolished. The recent addition of doner kebabs, rolls and breakfast to the menu is also much appreciated.

I can just about see Lui’s (formerly Luigi’s, formerly Slattery’s) from my font door.

Ryan’s chipper (between Ryans Centra & the bookies) is pretty decent. However Shane Dowling works in the pharmacy next door - this is not good.
I must do a report on my next Friday evening visit

Right i haven’t been on here in ages because to be honest when it comes to sporting discussions i prefer to take my business elsewhere!But i would like to offer my belated congratulations to Clare and a big well done to our lads for the way they never gave up and also well done to my near neighbour Seamie Harnedy from the St Ita’s club in Gortroe for his efforts this year.Now to the business at hand.I will be making my annual pilgrimage to the Treaty City in a few weeks time.I hear that the chippers in Limerick are supposed to be the finest in Western Europe!I would like to visit a chipper in the city centre and compile a review.Could someone please assign me a chipper in the city centre to visit and it has to be a chipper that serves burgers so that’s Donkey Fords out!I would also like to express my sadness about the decline in standards in Luigis!

Look im not putting up with an attitude with some fella from Lowry country.:rolleyes: I would like to visit an establishment where im guaranteed to have the chips well cooked.The burgers with plenty of sauce and the battered sausages also have to be in pristine order!

The one above at the black battery do a lovely chip. I forget it’s name. The garlic chip and cheese are out of the small chinese foil containers yet the cunts will still charge you almost 4 fucking quid for one. Cunts charge you for a large or small. Imo if you’re getting a garlic or curry chip wouldn’t you think the greasy thieving cunts would give it to you in the large container. Some place will give it to you in the larger containers but others don’t. Places that don’t should be named and shamed. In fact they be banned from selling chips. This place beside the black battery will give a small one for almost 4 quid, robbing bastards. The chips themselves are tasty.
