Serie A 2013/2014

Since when do 2pm kick-offs count as “last night”? Were you on the cheap wine with @Faldo again, Birtles?

I’m on Cork time down here.

Absolutely outstanding goal by Llorente. Juve lead 3-1 and they can seal the title next week.

He’s a poor man’s Duncan Ferguson, a cloven-hoofed bodybuilder.

Milan derby about to get underway now, Milan must win this to have any hope of European football next season.

@Bandage

Does Richard Whittle usually commentate on Setanta? He is covering tonight’s game.

Great Kaka effort comes back off the bar.

Thumping header from De Jong.

1-0 Milan.

Coppa being paraded tonight in Naples. A trophy in Benitez’ first season is not bad, but a Scudetto is a must in the next couple of years. Defence needs serious surgery.

Really looking forward to seeing Insigne at the World Cup.

Kovacic really beginning to settle under Mazzarri now.

Another beautiful assist from Kovacic as Icardi finishes his through ball really well.

3-1

Palacio with his second, finishing off a Nagatomo cross.

As things stand Milan look like grabbing the final Europa League spot. Fiorentina lead Torino, Parma are being held at home to Livorno and Milan are 2-0 up at home to Sassuolo.

Cerci missed an injury time penalty for Torino* against his former club Fiorentina. The 2-2 draw meant that Torino missed out on the Europa League spot and Parma took it by virtue of their win.

*Toro for hipsters

Great article from Richard Hall in The Guardian last week about Verona’s famous Brigado Gialloblu ultras.

A stunning city, but also the most racist in Italy. Their hatred for Napolitans in particular is something else.

until someone sets up next seasons thread…

Pippo Inzaghi has taken over the sacked and last nights soccer aid MOTM Clarence Seedorf as manager of the Rossoneri.
