Serie A season 2011/2012

A little over two hours away now as Milan entertain Lazio in the San Siro this evening.

The goosebumps are building now.

What a league.

Here are the confirmed line ups:

AC Milan (4-3-1-2): Abbiati; Abate, Nesta, Thiago Silva, Antonini; Gattuso, Ambrosini, Aquilani; Boateng; Cassano, Ibrahimovic
Subs: Amelia, Van Bommel, Pato, Nocerino, Emanuelson, Yepes, Bonera.

Lazio (4-2-3-1): Bizzarri; Konko, Biava, Dias, Zauri; Ledesma, Brocchi; Mauri, Hernanes, Cisse; Klose

Subs: Carizzo, Rocchi, Matuzalem, Gonzalez, Kozak, Lulic, Diakite.

I’m predicting a 3-1 victory for Milan.

Scorers:

Cassano, Boateng, Ibrahimovic.

Cisse.

Milan 2-0 down after 20mins…

Ibra pulls one back, 1-2 now.

2-2, Cassano! What a comeback.

Good game Dunph?

Had to nip out there and missed the first half.

Zlatan has started the season off very well, linking up with Cassano very well.

Nesta has been poor.

What a pass by Zlatan to Cassano who hits the post.

World class.

who did Van Bommel come on for?

Super tippping with regards the goalscorers too Totti, three out of four have found the net

Gattuso, clattered into Nesta which nearly ended up in an embarrassing goal. Saw it during the half time highlights.

Nesta with a spectacular challenge there to stop a certain goal for Cisse. Abbiati has been very nervy tonight.

Nocerino for Aquilani who has had a poor game.

Lazio bring Gonzalez on for Klose.

I thought Gonzalez was outstanding for Uruguay in the Copa America this summer.

Prandelli surely has to call Abate up soon.

A 2-2 draw.

Good news for Roma and the rest of the chasing pack.

Napoli 1 up at Cesena after a couple of minutes.

Lavezzi.

Cesena have drawn level.

Further goals from Campagnaro and Hamsik saw Napoli run out 3-1 victors in Cesena last night.

Juventus and Parma kick off in little over 30 minutes. I’m expecting goals in this encounter.

Juventus 4-2 Parma

Vucinic (x2)
Matri
Elia

Giovinco
Floccari.

Vucinic to net two or more goals in tempting at 7/1 on bet365.

I also think laying Genoa is a good bet, Atalanta made some shrewd late additions in the transfer window and will be eager to get off to a good start given their handicap.

The big one kicks off at 2pm, Roma entertain Cagliari. I will be having a nibble on over 3 goals as I mentioned elsewhere and I will also be backing both Osvaldo and Bojan for debut goals.

Juventus (4-2-4): Buffon; Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Chiellini, De Ceglie; Pirlo, Marchisio; Pepe, Matri, Vucinic, Elia.

Parma (4-4-2) - Mirante; Zaccardo, Paletta, Lucarelli, Rubin; Valiani, Morrone, Galloppa, Modesto; Giovinco, Pelle.

I’m glad to see Lichtsteiner leave Lazio. Think he’s excellent and will be a good addition for Juve.

My source seems to have let me down on the teams.

Vucinic and Elia are on the bench, Del Piero and Giaccherini start.
