Serie A season 2011/2012

Good confidence boosting result for Napoli ahead of the Chelsea match.

+1.

Iā€™m really looking forward to the game on Tuesday. The San Paolo is unbeatable for big games.

Juventus being held 1-1 at home to Catania at HT.

Giaccherini is a lovely little player.

Red card for the loanee Marco Motta. Silly boy. :shakefist:

Buffon makes a brilliant save from the much travelled Sergio Almiron.

Alejandro Gomez just kissed Felipe Seymour on the cheek as he left the pitch to be replaced by him.

Chiellini gives Juve the lead.

Woeful goalkeeping, Pirloā€™s delivery has been as serious as cancer tonight, what a player.

For all Juveā€™s success this season, to describe their attack as ā€˜timidā€™ would be an understatement. Vucinic, Borriello, Quagliarella, Krasic and Elia should all be chased this summer.

Quagliarella wraps up the victory.

Storari joined in the celbrations for the third goal and inadvertently drew blood from both Pepe and Quagliarella.

Muntari with a goal on his debut for AC

Mo Mo Massimo has put Palermo 2-0 up against Lazio.

Daje!!!

Ah lovely.

One of my favourite match attending moments.

Itā€™s now 5-0 to Palermo.

Udinese and Cagliari played out a scoreless draw meaning Roma are now 4 points off a CL berth. This day fortnight we play the scum in a Roman debry. Bring them on!!

Donatiā€™s goal last night.

Lads, Iā€™m doing some research tonight how the highly rated Pescara team the legendary Zdenek Zeman has formed. They are top of the table in Serie B and consist mainly of talented Italian players who are 21 and under - Immobile, Verratti, Caprari, Capuano, Insigne. Insigne and Verratti in particular are tipped for greatness.

Reggina have taken the lead.

Reggina ended up winning this one 2-0. I was very impressed with Insigne though, very similar type of player to Giovinco, needs to build himself up physically however.

Napoli are planning to build a new stadium, I hope the atmosphere can replicate the San Paolo. De Laurentiis also rules out selling any of their top players - though he does leave a get out clause for himself at the endā€¦

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis assures a new stadium will help keep Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani at the club.

The patron and Hollywood mogul presented plans to build a new arena to replace the Stadio San Paolo.

It will take four years to complete the work in the Ponticelli area of Naples.

ā€œWalter Mazzarri has a year left on his contract and he will stay,ā€ De Laurentiis told Radio Deejay ahead of tonightā€™s match with Inter.

ā€œThe same goes for Cavani, that is absolutely not up for debate, while we are discussing the renewal with Marek Hamsik.

ā€œAs for Lavezzi, he is our symbol. His agent has assured me that he is not going anywhere. As long as the situation doesnā€™t become a farce, then he will stay.

ā€œIā€™d also like to make it clear that Napoli do not force anyone to stay against their will.ā€

Thatā€™s Roma and Napoli looking to follow the Juve model and building their own stadiums - itā€™s the way for Italian clubs to go in terms of revenue.
