Serie A season 2011/2012

Lazio lead Napoli 2-1.

Ah bollocks.

A very shook looking Milan line-up tonight.

Chievo: Sorrentino, Sardo, Dainelli, Acerbi, Frey, Sammarco, Bradley, Rigoni, Thereau, Pellisier, Paloschi

Milan: Abbiati, De Sciglio, Nesta, Yepes, Zambrotta, Gattuso, Muntari, Nocerino, Seedorf, Ibrahimovic, Robinho

Muntari has given Milan the lead.

Chieveo really should be level by now as we approach half time.

El Sharaawy replaces Gattuso.

Nesta escapes a deliberate handball after the flag goes up for offside. Milan hanging on here with 10 minutes left.

Milan just stumble over the finish line tonight. Vital win for them, they are absolutely decimated with injuries though.

Sully Muntari gives his jersey to one of the ball boys as he exits the pitch and the ball boy goes to give it back to him.

The youngster has sadly passed away.

In other news, Cassano and Rossi have been left out of the Italian Euro 2012 Panini sticker album, Di Natale and Pepe have been included though. :shakefist:

The Italian media are speculating on exactly what Antonio Conte said to hisJuventus troops during a 12-minute motivational speech.

The tactician spoke at length to his entire squad on Tuesday in a bid to fire them up ahead of the last eight games of the campaign.

ā€œMilan will have to spit blood until the very end to win the championship,ā€ the former midfielder allegedly stated.

ā€œPeople are flooding us with praise right now, but that sends shivers through me. Why? Because I have fear, I have fear, I have fear that someone here will start to relax.

ā€œThere is applause and a consensus, but what is the reality? The reality is the pitch, the reality is sweat, the reality is sacrifice.

ā€œThat is what has led us to this point of the championship and we still havenā€™t done anything yetā€¦

ā€œLetā€™s look at who we have in front of us now because we are mature enough to fight until the very end.

ā€œAs I said before, they will have to spit blood until the last game.ā€

Juventus, who travel to Palermo this weekend, are now just two points behind leaders Milan in the championship.

The Old Lady, unbeaten this term, will also face Napoli in the Coppa Italia Final next month.

Livornoā€™s Piermario Morosini collapsed in their game against Pescara today and has been rushed to hospital.

Heā€™s passed away.

Very, very sad. RIP.

All this weekendā€™s Serie A matches have been called off.

Shocking sad news, RIP

Sad to see that Italian sportā€™s doping problem hasnā€™t been cleaned up yet.

Some decorum in this thread please. Iā€™m sure Piermario wasnā€™t doping as our strict regulations catch out the cheats. Iā€™ve just read that he lost both his parents when he was young and his brother also died in an accident, at least there is some solace in the fact that he will now be reunited with them.

Christ thats a fair string of misery there. Dreadful.
