Serie A season 2012/2013

Finished 1-1 which realistically is not enough for Napoli.

Milan and Lazio on ESPN now, Montolivo will be delivering another masterclass tonight.

Candreva sent off for a professional foul, a little bit harsh as Lazio had players covering.

Jim Beglin is grating.

Montolivo, El Shaarawy and De Sciglio are all world class. The similarities between De Sciglio and a young Maldini are indistinguishable.

Beglin is doing a Rocko on things tonight and digging himself further into the hole he had made for himself.

Looked inside the box though. This being serie A, I’d imagine a team would rather lose a player than a goal.

Will Beglin please shut up, he is trying to take over the commentary.

Great turn and volley from Pazzini after lovely play from De Sciglio.

Pazzini is brilliant with his back to goal in the penalty box, his awareness is top class.

Pazzini gives Milan the lead, poking home from two yards out.

David Farrar explaining the origins of Pazzini’s celebration, wonderful anecdote that I had not heard before.

Boateng doubles the lead after Pazzini’s bullet header is miraculously saved by Marchetti.

Great save from the initial header before the tap in for the second.

It was a running joke Pazzini had with Luca Toni when they played at Fiorentina. Toni celebration was his “turn up the volume” gesture so Pazzini responded with a celebration that is in reference to the antennas of the little pocket radios that are so popular with Italian fans.

Great goal by Pazzini.

Not watching but are you sure it’s Jim Beglin in co-commentary, Totti? He doesn’t normally work with ESPN.

Yes, it’s Jim Beglin, Bandage.

Great to Pazzini back to his best, I think he is a fantastic striker when he’s on form, he’s a deadly traditional Italian bomber.

Is Dave being patient with him? Sometimes Dave loses the rag with the co-commentator if they make stupid comments. He told Stewart Robson last season that his comment about Zlatan being short of world class was idiotic.

Dave was quiet reserved tonight. He’s a fantastic commentator, I love the drama he adds to the game. Along with Richard Whittle he is the best in the business.
