Serie A Thread

It’s remarkable how similar Serie A’s traditional power structure is to hurling.

Juventus would be Kilkenny.
AC Milan would be Cork.
Inter Milan would be Tipperary.

After that you’d probably have:
Clare as Roma
Limerick as Lazio
Wexford as Napoli
Offaly as Sampdoria
Galway as Verona
Waterford as Fiorentina
Dublin as Torino
Antrim as Sassuolo

Mad bastards

A great listen for Serie A fans of the Berlusconi era.

6-1 now

Hat-trick Osimhen and two crackers for Kvaratskhelia. They might shake themselves for a run at the CL spots now

Inter more or less seal the Scudetto with that win.

Hard to believe Juve didn’t get anything from Naples on Sunday night. Vlahohic should have had a hat-trick. Napoli’s first set of back to back victories since September, which goes to show how awful they have been. Gap to fourth still too much I think but it’s given them a bit of momentum and Calzona something to aim for even if the run-in isn’t kind.

Inter really kicked on once they binned Onana

Second star on the jersey for Inter next season

No representative in the last 8 of the European Cup. It really is a basket case of a league now.

David Moyes has won as much in Europe in the last 13 years

The much maligned Bundesliga mixing it with the best of them this year.

The last time the final was at Wembley it was an all-German affair.

We’re hardly counting that yoke as a European trophy

We did when Jose won it with Roma

Yes, but that suited our narrative.

Aside from being the champions of Europe the Italians really are the laughing stock of Europe
