There’s a tremendous loneliness in so many of McGowans songs.
Pain makes great art.
Some people say that great art happens in spite of pain, not because of it. They know nothing.
Not from me you won’t.
Wide Awake in America, it’s brilliant and has a wonderful live version of my favourite U2 song, A Sort of Homecoming.
The most famous person ever to leave a condolence on rip.ie?
The checks on who posts on RIP aren’t exactly rigorous
There’s ample opportunity for a TFK get together in Nenagh on Friday
I’m hoping and praying that joe.ie pick up on this
Probably sandwiched in between the prepacked condolences from Michael Lowry and Mattie McGrath.
I’m just after posting as Babs Keating.
I’ve just added one as “Liam Cahill (AFR)”
Babs has his own unique style on RIP.ie. Puts in some great tributes.
You’ll be seen as a hoax a mile off.
Guilty. This is going well
Niall Collins
Lowry’s tributes are anything but prepackaged.
You can be sure that when Lowry posts a condolence, Jackie Cahill isn’t far behind him, or vice versa. Jackie Cahill would be posting on death notices of people with a very tenuous link to Tipperary.
Big Martin Browne would want to up his condolence game or it could see him suffer come GE time.
There are some fine pubs in nenagh. Many a good night hopping between them
Not as many today, same everywhere i suppose. Maddens, Eamon Ryan’s and the Abbey Bar all big losses. Phillys not what it was either, current lad, Seamie morris 1st cousin Hubert, a bit of a flute. It’ll be lively for the month though, curiosity factor. For day pints, 44 best option. After that, Unas, Rockies, Pallas, Quill. Id be venturing to Carney for a few, not far from Shane’s formative years
For the footix brigade, i spent the weekend in Leeds, on the Saturday night in The 3 Legs, was present for an admirably drunken rendition of Rainy Night in Soho in the Karaoke session by 2 lads from Naynagh. And yes, Mick Jones was 1 half of that duo. Hence tbe 5am postings, in the fucking jigs here
Life’s for living Mick, fair play to you.
