You are a hypocrite. You have stayed here there is nothing wrong with the IC championships as they are and they are working well. Yet you indicate here that there is a problem with them as the club player gets fucked over “one more time”
?
hows it going mate?
This competition is a sham and has nothing to do with an County Final, there is no choice to be made, play with your Club and miss the made up game. Simple.
Imagine expecting 50 or so players to change their plans so a lad can go play a different sport, one that barely even exists in its own right, its the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of.

Who or what are you specifically referring to?
For me I think if you are playing club the weekend of the Internationalseries you play club and that’s it. However this is the choice of the player (Michael Murphy in the case I’m thinking of) and it’s a dreadfully selfish one. I’d be fuming if I was from his club.
However this is not the fault of the International rules game and to suggest it is is sheer ignorance and stupidity.
Wait, you waded into an argument without having a clue what was being said?
When is the first game in this? id imagine if St. Martins make the wexford final, Daithi waters will have the same issue as Michael Murphy.

the whole sport is a farce kev…you don’t even have to hit the intended target to get scores FFS…
Well it’s hard with someone like you who is commonly vague in an attempt to always have a get out. I assumed you were on about Murphy, but who knows.
I agree, that’s a joke. Literally a joke I use all the time.
Nevertheless it’s a different argument.
Wouldn’t be like you to jump In head first like that Kev.

I didn’t blame the International rules game in this instance, it has a lot to be blamed for but the sheer stupidity of Intercounty players is not one such rod you can beat it with.
It however still is and will always be a Mickey Mouse sham of an event and should never be allowed ride roughshod over a Club game.
Some of the racist comments on this thread from @Faldo and @mickee321 are shocking.
We’re all constantly banging on about how to promote gaelic games and when we invent a (albeit convoluted) great way to do it, we find every problem under the sun with it.
I’m really looking forward to this, the indigenous team is a fantastic initiative by the AFL and a great recognition of their contributiuon to the natona sport here.
Kev is completely correct with the history lesson here as well.

This is not gaelic games, so take your team of native australians and go fuck yourself with them. Very few in Ireland give a fuck about this “fantastic initiative” you speak of, in fact many see the fact that australia are sending a team of natives over to play this series as it most likely is, a snub to the GAA and to the sham of a game.
Of course the crowds will turn up because the first one is in Cavan and there’s fuck all else to do in Cavan and the second one because there might be the chance to see a few ‘natives’ get the heads knocked off them.

Sure a crowd of Italians started their own hurling league and we thank them by bringing them to athlone. That’ll turn them off promoting anything Irish for a good generation.

if i was a white australian id be very pissed off that a team of these boongs are representing me in my national sport, im sure you’d be the very fella who’d choke at the thought of his daughter introducing you to one of these lads at the front door in a few years time so spare me the sanctimonious bullshit
