Shit stadiums of the world

The new stadium was known as Lansdowne Road before Aviva paid to sponsor it. The old stadium housed the FAI representative team and the IRFU representative team as does the new one. Guinness / Diageo had a monopoly on alcohol supply in both old and new stadium.

But yes, they both have nothing in common apart from location

Mac got there before me.

I’d say there’s no dirty windows in Jerusalem today with the licking they’ve got in the last few hours

I don’t know why you’re annoyed at this - all that is happening is that a newspaper is replacing a food wholesaler and supermarket operator as corporate title sponsor to a run down, unloved rugby venue.

Musgrave Park is merely lip service by the Munster franchise, a service that will end in the not too distant future.

1985 was a terrible year for stadiums with Valley Parade and Heysel. @Sidney , can you just verify that year.
Ive been in some utterly horrible " football grounds", im not sure if the term stadium can be used, but by fuck they had atmosphere.
I would say the worst ground i have been to is Tolka Park, the crumbling stand with the view obscured by those huge steel pillars, the walk to and from the dart around by that rathole as well, even in Israel you wouldnt see it.
Croke Park is horrible, completely devoid of atmosphere with all the noise going out over Hill 16, you feel miles away from the pitch, probably the worst place ive ever watched ireland play soccer.
There are some awful GAA stadiums, big ugly concrete monoliths that serve no purpose, the yoke in Cavan for example, Port laois, Gaelic Grounds, Tuam Stadium, the thing in Mayo, Casement Park, Killarney… you could go on
Semple Stadium is a fine ground, PuiC whilst wonderfully unsafe can still create a smashing athmosphere in that bowl shape.
The worst ground i ever played in was Terryland Park… those who know, know

Semple Stadium is a shit hole. Plus the pitch was in rag order today.

None of that is true Sidney.

are you going to write a soliloquy about that as well?

a few fellas getting awful tense around here lately, must be the weather or something… Lansdowne fucking Road…

Awful late in “Israel” is it not?

it is

Surely not. I was led to believe it was the finest hurling sod in the land.

Go to bed Mickee ffs.

The Quantas Wallabies or Australia?

Im right about Tolka tho, christ the fucking Ballybough Stand

Only true hurling men can soliloquy.

The real tragedy is Tolka isn’t even the worst in the league. The worst I’ve been to is United Park, Drogheda or Hunky Dorys Park or whatever the fuck it’s called now.

A total fucking kip, makes Tolka look like Allianz Arena.
