Walsh Park in Waterford is the worst ive ever been to. That and Cusack Park in Ennis. Can’t believe either ground has not yet been redeveloped.
I’m not proud of it, bud but that cunt pushed my buttons yesterday and I was very hungover. I sincerely hope a dingo never gets anywhere near TASE’s family who I’m sure are lovely people.
Well done on backing down and retracting it mate, it was beyond the pale.
apology accepted
although Id say bandage may have clipped his wings & that may have led to the volte face
bandage certainly put fooley in his place when he had a pop at my family this week
I’m man enough to hold my hand up when I’m wrong.

mate, its ok, ive let it go
the threats of violence against me & now wishing harm on my family would get most posters down but I know deep down you have underlying issues that means lashing out gives you some solace
ANZ Stadium (or whatever the Olympic Stadium in Sydney is called theses days, is fucking dire. No atmosphere and in a goddawful soulless location.
a fuckin barstooler gga fan talking about atmosphere
So are you saying that it has a decent atmosphere or not?
I was there for the Preliminary Finals for both the AFL and NRL in 2003 and it was utterly shocking to see such a dead atmosphere outside and inside of the stadium.
You’d get better at a Minor Hurling Co Final in Kerry.
I must say i love Upton Park for atmosphere, smashing old ground, great pubs there as well
from the ones ive been to in the UK : Windsor Park in Ireland, Ninian Park (cardiff’s old ground, i was very young), Fratton Park (very strong Cobh connections with Portsmouth) Goodison Park and Carrow Road are always rocking.
Some of the new stadiums look horrible on TV and devoid of atmosphere, ive never been to these , Pride Park instead of the Baseball Ground, The Britannia instead of The Victoria Ground, The Reebok instead of Burndean Park…
Post reported, Cusack Park is a great spot, a sporting colliseum. Right in the middle of the town, perfect summer playing surface, refuse to take down the barbed wire meaning taking a side line cut can be appropriately distracting (clare supporters can hurl their children at the fence in relative safety) and finally the sound made by the kids pounding the galvanise at the back of the old and new stands absolutely terrifies visiting teams in the dressing rooms below.
WELCOME TO HELL

Waterford County Board will be pleased, if not a little baffled that their jewel in the crown is being included in a Stadiums of the World discussion.
it looked like a building site on TV last night…are ye downsizing for Div 2 Fagan?
It is a building site. They are redeveloping the terraces. Plan is to have them ready for the homecoming in September.
Which September would that be?
casement park was poor but the new design looks very good
I would absoutely agree with this. I was at the Olympics there in 2000 (3 nights) and it was fucking awesome. Then it just died. Any match, or even concert I’ve been to at it since has had no atmosphere whatsoever.
Wasn’t too bad a couple of years ago when my beloved Central Coast Mariners beat my beloved Celtic FC in a pre-season friendly, but that was due to the Celtic supporters employing some level of enthusiasm. Otherwise its a dire, soulless (I know I’m repeating croppy boy here, but these words are so appropriate) lump of concrete.
@The Wild Colonial Bhoy - I understand Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane is brilliant.
St Conleth’s Park, Newbridge. It’s like time travelling back 50 years.
The only “stadium” that masquerades as a car park during the day.
