Just looking at the 16 players used tonight & around 13 cut their teeth in the League of Scotland & indeed many played in it for a considerable amount of time. Not sure about the new keeper Gunn & Hanley at the back & think McTominay is a Manchester United youth product but the rest of them are definitely League of Scotland products. Unfortunately there was only 1 current protagonist in the starting lineup (McGregor, Celtic) & that’s probably as much a commentary on the financial riches available even in the English Championship, never mind the EPL or Serie A. Either way, it’s a terrific boost for the region.
I’d say they’re disgusted with their kick n rush 1-0 win. Do they not know they could be beaten easily while passing beautifully around the back?
