Johan Neeskens

What a player. He’d fetch £100 million no problem these days.

Celebrity Deaths Thread please

A Banat German by origin.

Bit of a random penalty observation but if penalty shoot outs only came in in the 70s how were no games a draw in European cups or international tournaments before that?

Replays, and drawing of lots of time didn’t allow.

Celtic won their European cup quarter final on a coin toss in 1967, after two legs extra time etc couldn’t separate teams. Dukla Prague I think

Two other famous examples, the 1974 European Cup final went to a replay after Bayern and Atletico drew 2-2.
Italy and Yugoslavia went to replay in 1968 Euro Final.

Poor student of the sport is our @Arthur

Tis only a foreign game. How many draws after extra time were there in international tournaments pre penalty shoot outs and how many after?

Scored the equalising try for Wasps in that epic Heino semi-final against Munster.

It sounds like he attempted to do something very foolish indeed.
