Scott Hastings former Scottish international and twice a Lions tourist has passed away at 61 from non-Hodgkin lymphoma which was diagnosed years ago. Sadly his wife took her own life last yearā¦

Tomi Reichenthal RIP.
One of my regrets in life is the following: On Saturday March 23rd, 2014, at about 5pm, Tomi Reichenthal was doing some sort of event in my local Roman Catholic church.
My oulā fella, who at that point was in his last few months of living independently though he did not know it at the time, decided to go down to it and asked me if I wanted to go too.
I didnāt go as I was drained from looking at a free, illegal INTERNET stream of Cardiff City 3 Liverpool 6 and preoccupied with mad thoughts Liverpool and Steven Gerrard were going to win the league.
My oulā fella returned about half six having had a good chat with Tomi and with a signed copy of his book āI Was A Boy In Belsenā.
I regret that I did not go.
I also regret that I missed Tomiās Holocaust Memorial Lecture in UCG (also called NUIG or UG) in I think it was 2019, having attended the 2018 Holocaust Memorial Lecture there (I was sitting beside Joe Loughnane, by accident, I donāt know Joe).
Former CEO of the IRFU Philip Browne has passed away. All the rugger heads will circle the SUVāsā¦.
A steady hand for a good number of years. He mugged the FAI off time and time again
Without checking any other site, he must have been a relatively young man? Seemed fairly fresh faced when he was in front of the media in that IRFU role not all that long ago.
- I actually thought he was a little younger.
FAI will be homeless in 40 years. 40 years you say? Well they signed that deal 20 years ago.
Complete ownership of Lansdowne Road and all property reverts to the IRFU in 2066
Browne Bread
Irish soccer hasnāt an arse in its trousers, a pot to piss in, a penny in their wallets and a brain cell in their heads.
While that is grand on paper, wonāt the stadium be long past its life cycle at that point. It will be redeveloped long before that date and when they come looking for government coin the FAI will be looked after.
But I will defer to @Bandage who is the domain expert here
