Former TĂĄnaiste, minister and Fine Gael deputy leader Peter Barry has died at the age of 88.

Sent to the Pearly Gates with his tea in his mug

Hahahaha

I’ll be switching from Barry’s Gold Blend to Barry’s Classic Blend the next time I purchase a box of tea bags as a mark of respect to the deceased.

When old politicans die, are they always posthumously credited with solving ‘De Troubles’?

“Tea shock as former Tanaiste dies”

“Barry and Taoiseach Fitzgerald were perfect blend”

“Tea magnate brought refreshing honesty to the political scene”

“Family’s cup of sorrow overflows as Barry leaves them”

“Barry loved a cup but was no political mug”

“Fine Gaelers praise Barry as just tea-rific”

“Tea-loving Tanaiste was no political bagman”

Sweet fucking jesus

Barry was an alright sort. Big part in the agreement of the 80s.
I was always fascinated that he had Garda protection on his house 24/7 for many years afterwards.

Uzbekistan’s dear leader, Islam Karimov, has died of a stroke at the age of 78.

Let’s hope the political situation doesn’t reach boiling point like the temperature of the water he put some of his political opponents in.

I wonder if my old drinking buddy Craig Murray will go to the funeral.

Former Israeli president Simon Peres has dies aged 93. @mickee321 what will his legacy be in Israel?

Noone ever heard of Bobby MOLLOY around here?

Yes, have you?
