Significant people's (not celebrities) deaths

A true Gaelic football legend.

RIP : enjoyed his musing on the game .

He was an awful bore in fairness.

What did he make of the black card I wonder

Dunno but actually my first memories of him was his regular slot on Sports Stadium lecturing on the rules of the game.

One of the great Christmas songs

They said there’ll be snow at Christmas
They said there’ll be peace on earth
But instead it just kept on raining
A veil of tears for the virgin birth
I remember one Christmas morning
A winter’s light and a distant choir
And the peal of a bell and that Christmas tree smell
And their eyes full of tinsel and fire

They sold me a dream of Christmas
They sold me a silent night
And they told me a fairy story
'Till I believed in the Israelite
And I believed in father Christmas
And I looked to the sky with excited eyes
'Till I woke with a yawn in the first light of dawn
And I saw him and through his disguise

I wish you a hopeful Christmas
I wish you a brave new year
All anguish, pain and sadness
Leave your heart and let your road be clear
They said there’ll be snow at Christmas
They said there’ll be peace on earth
Hallelujah, Noel be it heaven or hell
The Christmas we get we deserve

Well @artfoley buddy. Did you accept the PS job.

Yep. Just waiting on forms and assignment. Given the pace PAS move at prob won’t be until march.

Got the AP application in today with 2 minutes to spare

Anthony “The Butcher” O’Driscoll. Knew too much to get out it seems. Had some serious shit over some serious folk apparently in Real IRA AND local politicians.

He is also the brother of former Cork hurler John of Delaneys fame who myself and @backinatracksuit and a few others discussed not too long ago.

He wanted out of the 'Ra. So its kinda ironic the so-called Socialists took him out while he was doing an honest days work.

Is “the butcher” a local name? The red-tops are calling him “the beast” with a long time.

Sorry, my bad. “The Beast” it is.

Have a friend who was going to his wedding next year.

I believe on the street he grew up there are 3 major figure of 3 different factions of the 'Ra. All quarelling.

What the hell are they at these days? I mean how active can they be?

O’Driscoll was up in Limerick lately anyway with another head from Armagh. Ostensibly working in construction, but acting as muscle for another local who was taking money from Regeneration and then scaring subbies into working for fuck all. They kidnapped some traveller from Rathkeale for a finish and stuck him to the floor with a nail-gun. Real entrepreneurs.
