Sinead O'Connor RIP

Was it this?

The voice is that of the purest traditional Irish female folk singer, no matter what rock/pop anthem she was singing. It was rooted in pure Irish folk song, and probably totally unconsciously on her part. Such an authentic voice.

RIP we will never see her like again

This is really shit, Christ I loved her and all her alleged faults and all her eccentricities and her voice and her voice, that voice.
And I loved her smile. She didn’t smile enough Sinead. Probably didn’t have enough cause too.
Her voice would break you, her smile would give you life.
You were loved Sinead, you mightn’t have always thought it we may not have always shown it, but you were, are, loved.

declared her support for the IRA and opined that “people like Thatcher and Ian Paisley should be shot”. Saddam Hussein was no worse than George Bush, she said during the 1991 Gulf War.
(Strong opinionated woman to be brave enough to declare publicly her beliefs at the time )- at the time I wholeheartedly agreed with her

It is somewhat fitting that the report on the absolute shitshow that is CAMHS comes out on the day of Sinead O Connors untimely death.

Good man Morrissey, make it all about yourself.

If there is one thing that Morrissey likes, even more than kitchen sink realism, it is a good old bitching session. His book is pretty much all that.

The obituary in The Guardian is bloody terrible.
The piece from the peerless Alexis Petridis is excellent.
