Andrew Porter played only his fifth ever game as a tight head prop last week. Impressive for the lad but a bit of an indictment of the game (and other number 3s in the country).

Very few players could do what hes done. There is a very short list all over the world who have made that transition. Its phenomenal really. But he was the strongest player in the gym at Leinster straight out of school he is a freak
Edit. Hes def jumped the queue a bit as well because the âexperimentâ is driven by the IRFU and maybe Schmidt specifically. They asked the lad to gamble a few years of his career and this is payback. Hes well worth his squad place but they wouldnt have thrown him in so early in normal circumstances Id say

Good start from Ireland but slightly butchering a few chances.
The Scots are strong arendnd physical. Excellent in tackle.
