Positives:
Wilson came through 90 mins unscathed - his first in about 13 years.
Defence in general was solid throughout. Milwall mostly resorted to long range shots.
Negatives:
Millwall won most of the 50/50s, Vaughan’s first game back so wouldn’t worry too much about this.
Lansbury can’t play in the hole behind the striker. Totally anonymous today in that role. He has to play as a holding midfielder. That’s the only way he can influence games. Osborn is a lovely footballer but he’s too light of stature to dominate a game.
Too much long ball up to Britt. Need to play it through the centre more and on the deck. When we did get it down we looked threatening like during the last ten minutes when Paterson came on. Britt missed two great chances late on to win it for us.
Hopefully Reid will be back for Brighton next week. Fryatt is another bit away from first team team action. Pearce should start Weldweijk against the Yids on Wednesday.
