SkySports Anti GAA Bias

@treatystone
if it came to a junior league soccer game or a gaa championship game you know damn well what is more serious down there

Why are so many people on here threatened by association football. It is a wonderful game played by the masses
fuck all people play GGA but a lot of muldoons drink cheap piss in the clubs. that was why their was such outrage from the ESRI report, GGA clubs with fuck all playing members were getting sports grants, mental shit

the GGA isnt growing mate, the report states it’s in decline

good to know that more people watch football than hurling, thats reassuring
Absolutely, this 750,000 members the gaa throw out at times is horseshit as hundreds of thousands are just paid club members not players. But the same goes for rugby clubs, less so soccer clubs, who in the main dont have clubhouses. Would you not agree that 5 a side and tag rugby declarations make the whole survey fairly useless though? Of course nore watch soccer than hurling, hurling is not a nationally played sport.

It’s only in dear old Ireland that one sporting organisation regards other organisations as a threat and seeks to undermine them by muscling in on sporting facilities, grabbing all the funding to ensure others don’t get it – and constantly spouting feverish, nationalistic and completely one-sided propaganda guff in an attempt to portray themselves as the saviour to all things sporting and cultural in Ireland (and everyone else as somehow inferior and less deserving).

Do the jersied hordes who jump on the despotic bandwagon every year not realise that they are financially supporting probably the biggest openly fascist organisation in Europe? Or is fascism okay when it’s on your side?

no, it shows football fans are more flexible, imaginative and desperate to play the sport

Great game played on a social level alright. I’m enjoying my return to playing in a winter league. It will never take off in this country tho.

We know Shamrock Rovers are a far-right club, mate, but they certainly aren’t big.

You’re getting awfully needy here.

Any interest in hurling in queensland mate i know a lad looking for numbers in a club outside brisbane?

the Queensland GGA clubhouse is near me but for me personally my passion and hobby is single speed cycling

TWCB can’t count so looking to him for numbers is a bad idea. That’s also why he prefers single speed cycling.

Where?

limerick

Limerick city maybe, but outside of that GAA would take preference in most areas. The soccer starts in August while the GAA is getting down to the serious end of things. A lot of soccer clubs would be struggling to field teams or fielding weakened teams during this period.

that would never be the case in Foynes pal, the dockers love their football

If they love it so much why did they have to disband the soccer club and join with Shanagolden so they could field a team?

you know i really cant discuss that kind of thing on here pal given the sensitivity of my position

In Clare they just delay the start of the soccer season until the GAA season wraps up, whenever that is. Pretty clear who is playing second fiddle.

Clare is also the county where they fondly remember Brendan Patrick O"Donnell, who was also a GAA man, i really wouldnt read too much into that

football accomadates GGA in Clare, that should be seen as a good thing but this oaf tries to point score

GGA- a permanent embarrassment, an occasional disgrace

In other words, Runt was right. Fucking hell mickee, you want to be staff here, yet you won’t discuss highly sensitive topics that will likely lead you and the forum into all kinds of mischief? #softlad
