It’s fucking ridiculous is what it is. I can excuse lads on minor or U21 teams with these mops on top or on one side with shorter / shaved hair on the sides. As you say - a One Direction type haircut sported by teens or early adults. If I engaged PWC to do some professional advisory work and a 30-odd year old turned up with a haircut like that then his boss would be getting a STRONGLY WORDED email. A fucking joke.
