It’s going to be a dirty one too. The public have alternatives to Bus Eireann but how long will the other unions leave their colleagues on the picket lines ?
The bottom line is if BE get away with driving down the wages of semi state/ owned the precedent is set for others to follow suit. No possible way for the union to let it happen.
What harm, it’s only piss drenched senior citizens and junkies that use these services anyway.
Let the company go to the wall and see how chirpy they’ll be.
I’d imagine train stations where they share a depot with bus drivers will be affected.

Let the government pay for and subsidise a proper public service. The drivers are right and correct not to lie down and be stamped on by a government determined to make the staff pay for a service we already pay for via income tax.
