Monaghan town has changed massively in character in the past few years. I used to look down on the like of Mulligan with its herown problem. Now I’m told that all the kids in Monaghan do cocaine and you can see people shooting up on the streets.

I have an update on this. The Garda Swat team had the wrong address. The heroin dealers lived next door. That’s why the media have gone quiet. This is just some poor Pakistani who thought the cops were coming to beat up a foreigner and jumped out the window, breaking both his ankles.
