Initially I thought it was a hacked account or some sort of wind up only to discover that Wexford Corporation have come out and condemned the actions of the local newspapers. Then I notice the previous post on the corporation facebook page about the cancellation of the annual monkey knife fight. What the fuck is going down there is right.

Bit of a ding dong there on Twitter there last night between hero of the Kilkenny Hype Machine, Eddie Brennan and Damian Tiernan. Apparently Eddie Brennan could see what Maurice was saying to Liam Rushe, behind a visor and through all those teeth.
Anyway I was disappointed that Damian stopped short of pointing out to Eddie that he was exaggerating and that, say, a serving Garda telling a person in Garda custody, that he’d put him in a six by six cell with a big black man is probably worse than anything Maurice might have come out with.

it was clear cut to all reasonable people that rushe was dealing with ‘a very special case’ in maurice shanahan and there isent a self respecting man amongst us here who wouldnt have welted that ugly head off shanahan under similar circumstances. brennan was just communicating that very point in the only way live tv allowed him and shock horror the watherford crowd dont like it up em.
