Spanish Football 2009/2010

I had a feeling that would happen to Zaragoza. Haven’t seen it but I guess it must have been ugly.

Flicking in and out of Barca game and bizarrely I’ve missed every goal live.

Barca won 6-1 anyway in another awesome performance.

Goals:

24′ S. Keita [1-0]

Zlatan’s free kick:clap:

Zlatan’s playing as well as I expected - their only dropped points were last weekend at Valencia when he was injured and they drew a blank.

to think some of the plebs on here said he was vastly overrated and not worth the money:rolleyes:

Higuain’s come to Real Madrid’s rescue here with two good goals, the first was very good and he’s just hit the post too. Raul Albiol was sent off for a professional foul in the first half and it seemed harsh enough.

I thought the red card was very harsh as well. When he was sent off, Madrid’s price went from 1.5 to 2.28 in the betting, a fair over-reaction if you ask me. I’d already backed them at 1/2, so I went again and was happy enough, I’ll definitely be getting pissed tonight, and I’ve decided I am going to dress up as Petr Cech again :pint:

Will you wear the helmet thing? Was at an astro game last year and a keeper on one of the other pitches was wearing a Chelsea keeper shirt and a helmet.

Yeah, I agreed with Gerry at half time that it was very much still there for them to win. It was a weird ‘professional’ foul because, even though he timed his run to get inside the last defender, the ball held up a bit in the air and he had to wait for it and ended up chesting it back outside the box. It wasn’t as if it was a clear run in on goal.

Haven’t seen the starting teams for the next one - really hoping Zlatan plays but Barca could rest a couple given the important game in Russia midweek.

Aye I have a grey scrum helmet that I got in the bargain baasket in Arnotts when buying the jersey the first time for Cobh away, it’s a proper Canterbury one too.:pint:

No - definitely wasn’t a clear goalscoring chance, but they played better with 10 men, when the opposition is that moderate a red card can have a positive galvanising effect on the team that is favourite to win.

Zlatan plays.

Henry back on the bench after injury.

Backed Madrid at evens after they went to 10 aswell.

Thinking of tentatively reinvesting some in a draw here. Barca have started impressively but I can see Osasuna sneaking a point. Great atomsphere.

Shocking, shocking stuff by the referee.

I hope Zlatan is okay.

Keita’s on an obscene scoring spree. Zlatan, Messi and Puyol involved in a pretty slick move.

Hilarious…

Christ, completely against the run of play. Messi had just missed a few decent chances too.

He was pretty greedy on a few different occasions. Probably annoyed at Zlatan stealing his thunder and refusing to play him in because of it.

Get in…

Thought Osasuna were good value for a point over 90 minutes even if the equaliser itself was somewhat…err… fortuitous

Did you back it? Throw a costume on there and come to the Growler, spend the winnings the best way possible…:pint:

If the overs comes in here I may indeed you know

…33% complete

Aupa Athletic:clap:
